Danielle Black Lyons
Danielle Black Lyons is a surfer, artist, mother and co-founder of Textured Waves, a collective aimed at promoting diversity in surfing. Danielle lives in California with her husband and son and surfs daily. Danielle co-founded Textured Waves with several other women in response to a representation issue in surfing. The goal of Textured Waves is to elevate the culture and sport of women’s surfing towards women of color and underrepresented demographics through representation, community, and sisterly camaraderie.
